Abstract

This final report was created based on job training experience at the Tourist Information Centre, which operates under the Department of Tourism of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The purposes of this project are to explain the implementation of the job training, to explain the process of creating a tutorial video on how to get to Prambanan Temple by Trans Jogja, and to describe the obstacles and solutions in making an informative tutorial video. The project focuses on providing route information to Prambanan Temple using the Trans Jogja bus, as many tourists still find it difficult to understand the available guidance for this route. The production process was done carefully, from shooting and storyboarding to post-production steps such as adding voice-over, subtitles, and background music. Collaborated with one cameraman was undertaken to ensure that the visual composition of the video was clear and easy to follow. Several technical challenges such as maintaining camera stability on the bus and managing lighting were handled successfully throughout the process. There are some obstacles in creating the tutorial video, such as limited time and resources, the challenge of delivering information in clear and simple language, and reliance on technology that might cause technical issues. To address these obstacles, it is important to do technical checks and use supporting tools to ensure good recording quality, prepare a simple and well-structured script and getting feedback can also make the message clearer, and maintain equipment properly, have backup devices, and allocate extra time to handle potential technical problems.
