Abstract
Learning English from an early age is essential for developing strong language skills, particularly vocabulary acquisition, which is fundamental for effective communication. In Indonesia, young learners often face challenges in mastering vocabulary, highlighting the need for innovative teaching strategies. The researcher chose the Pictionary Game as a method for teaching vocabulary, it is a visual and interactive teaching method, that has been identified as a creative approach to support learning and enhance student engagement. This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pictionary Game method in teaching English vocabulary and its influence on students' learning motivation. The research was conducted with 16 students from the English Kids extracurricular program at MI Darul Hikmah Bantarsoka, utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods included observations, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the Pictionary Game method effectively supports vocabulary acquisition. The implementation involved three stages: introduction, learning practice, and closure, successfully enhanced student participation and enthusiasm. The students responded positively to the method, actively engaging in drawing, guessing, and collaborating with peers. The Pictionary Game also increased students' motivation to learn English vocabulary. They demonstrated high levels of participation, critical thinking, collaborative teamwork, and a lively classroom atmosphere that further supported their learning experience. Overall, the Pictionary Game is an innovative and effective teaching method that enhances vocabulary mastery and fosters motivation among young learners. It provides a fun and interactive approach to vocabulary learning, making it a valuable alternative to traditional teaching methods.
